Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Scrum Master to join our team. The Scrum Master will be responsible for facilitating the agile development process, ensuring that the team adheres to Scrum principles, and removing any impediments that may obstruct the team's progress. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a deep understanding of agile methodologies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Facilitate daily stand-up meetings, sprint planning, sprint review, and retrospective meetings.
• Guide the team on how to use agile/scrum practices and values to achieve high-performance levels.
• Coach team members in self-organization and cross-functionality.
• Remove obstacles that hinder the team's progress and escalate issues when necessary.
• Foster a collaborative and productive environment conducive to innovation and continuous improvement.
• Shield the team from external distractions and interference to maintain focus on sprint goals.
• Track and communicate team progress using agile metrics and reporting tools.
• Promote a culture of transparency and openness within the team and organization.
• Collaborate with product owners and stakeholders to ensure alignment with business objectives.
• Continuously seek opportunities to optimize the team's efficiency and effectiveness.
  

Skills and Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience as a scrum master or in a similar agile role.
• Previous experience in software development or engineering roles.
• Deep understanding of agile principles and methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.).
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and conflict resolution skills.
• Strong leadership and coaching abilities with a servant-leader mindset.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with agile tools such as Jira.
• Knowledge of software development processes and practices.
• A passion for continuous learning and improvement.
  

Additional Qualifications (preferred but not required):

• Agile certifications such as Certified Scrum Professional (CSP) or PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP).
• Experience working in a cross-functional team environment.
• Familiarity with development and DevOps best practices and principles.
• Experience with agile scaling frameworks like SAFe, LeSS, or Scrum@Scale.
